1834 Mana Motuhake Knit Sweater
NZ$139.99
The 1834 | Mana Motuhake Knit Sweater was created to acknowledge the significance of 1834, the year He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni - the Declaration of Independence of the United Tribes of New Zealand was first represented through the selection of the United Tribes flag, before the Declaration itself was signed in 1835.
At the heart of this piece is Mana Motuhake - the expression of autonomy, self-determination and the mana to stand strong in who we are.
The front brings 1834 and MANA MOTUHAKE together as a statement of remembrance and strength, while the back draws inspiration from the United Tribes flag, carrying the story through the entire garment.
Made from 100% cotton, this heavyweight knit is designed with an oversized, unisex fit, combining comfort with a piece of kōrero you can wear.
